Terms and Conditions



Passengers are carried subject to and in terms of our standard conditions of carriage, notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary.


Invoice, payment and or ticket considered Primae Facie proof of agreement:
Invoice or confirmation (via sms and/or email) issued to passenger, customer or agent by ShuttleDirect on behalf of passenger, customer or agent , or payment received for transfer/carriage/ shuttle of passenger/s is prima facie proof of the agreement of transport/ carriage or shuttle of passenger/s between Shuttle Direct Shuttle Services and the passenger.
The onus is on the end user/ passenger to establish the terms of use and conditions of ShuttleDirect on our website: www.shuttledirect.co.za or contact us on 0861 7347328.
All bookings are subject to availability.
ShuttleDirect accepts telephonic, email and online bookings.  It however remains the responsibility of the passenger to read the terms and conditions as the confirmation of the booking serves as proof of his/her acceptance of the terms and conditions. 
All bookings/ reservations will be confirmed immediately subject to our Terms of Payment.
Terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.



All reservations remain preliminary until payments had been received where upon the passenger will receive correspondence clearly indicating that the transfer had been confirmed - Account bookings are however taken as confirmed once it is booked.
Booking Confirmations are not transferable and are valid for use only by the persons to whom they are issues and for the date and time shown thereon.
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that the correct information reflects on the Booking Confirmation. 
Passengers are not allowed to break their journey unless separate confirmations are issued at the appropriate fares, for each individual journey. 
Change of Original Travel Arrangements: Should the Passenger make changes to Original Transfer Details (date and time); ShuttleDirect might not be able to assist due to us being a pre-booked shuttle service.



For Bookings made through Travel Agents, all changes to be made by the Travel Agent, not the passenger.
Booking Confirmations may be moved up until - but not later than - four (4) hours prior to the departure time and it must be confirmed and discussed with the office.



Bookings/ reservations will be confirmed immediately after payment has been effected to ShuttleDirect via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), cash deposit and credit card payment via our online booking system on our website: www.shuttledirect.co.za.
No bookings/ reservations will be confirmed until payment is received.


All vehicles are adequately covered by our passenger liability insurance
SEDANS: R 5 000 000.00(Five Million Rand) per vehicle
QUANTUMS: R 10 000 000.00 (Ten Million Rand) per vehicle
COACHES: R 1 000 000.00 (One Million Rand) per seat



All persons entering any bus, coach or vehicle, or property owned by ShuttleDirect or under its control, do so entirely at their own risk, and the liability of ShuttleDirect is excluded for any loss or damages (including consequential or special damages or loss of profits), loss of life, bodily injury, damage to or loss of property, of whatsoever nature and howsoever caused, and whether or not caused by any form of negligence of ShuttleDirect, its owners, its directors, its officers, servants or agents, or any person acting on behalf of ShuttleDirect, arising out of or connected in any way with the conveyance or non- conveyance by ShuttleDirect of any passenger or persons and/ or property of any passenger or persons.



No unaccompanied children under the age of 12 years will be allowed on any ShuttleDirect vehicle. 



With the exception of trained guide dogs accompanying a blind passenger. No pets will be allowed on the vehicle.



Smoking and the use of alcohol or drugs on any ShuttleDirect vehicle are prohibited and forbidden by law.
ShuttleDirect reserves the right to refuse the consumption of alcohol on its vehicles, or not to undertake the conveyance of any passengers who enters the vehicle whilst intoxicated.



Unless contracted to the contrary, and at the sole discretion of ShuttleDirect, each fare-paying passenger is permitted to take free of charge, at own risk, one suit case not exceeding 80cmcmx60cmx30cm in size, of a total mass not exceeding 20 kg.  Extra luggage (e.g... golf bag, bicycle, pram, bicycle, body board, skateboard, etc.) is allowed at a fee only by prior arrangement.
ShuttleDirect reserves the right to refuse the carriage of luggage which does not comply with these conditions.
Unaccompanied luggage will not be carried.
ShuttleDirect is not responsible for loss or damage to the passenger luggage, hand luggage or personal effects.
ShuttleDirect will not participate in any way whatsoever in the conveyance of drugs, weapons or illegal items and will co-operate in full with the authorities, to prevent the conveyance of these items on board its vehicles.
No bicycles, fishing rods, surf boards abnormal boxes, plastic carry bags and perishables will be carried.
The carrying of firearms, ammunition and fireworks is not permitted on a ShuttleDirect vehicle.
Large items must be carried in the luggage compartment and loaded only by the representative of the company   .
ShuttleDirect provides passenger insurance.  However, insurance of passengers' property or luggage is the passengers, responsibility.



All cancellations must be made in writing via email or fax to ShuttleDirect.
The following cancellation fees are applicable:
  14 - 20 days 50%
  7 - 13 days 75%
  Less than 7 days 100%
Shuttles, Transfers, Scheduled & Point-to-Point:
  A 30% Cancellation fee will be charged for any cancellations made before 24 hours prior to departure.
  If a cancellation is made within 24 hours before departure, it will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. 
  All no-shows will be billed to the company or individual at the quoted rate.
  Up to > 30 days prior to departure: 0% of total rate
  Less than 30 days prior to departure: 15 % of total rate
  Less than 14 days prior to departure: 50% of total rate
  Less than 7 days prior to departure: 75% of total rate
  Less than 3 working days: 100% of total rate


Scheduled transfers departure times:  Passengers are required to be at departure points 20 minutes before the time of departure shown on the ticket.  Any seat not filled within 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, will be offered for sale to stand-by passengers on a first come, first served basis
ShuttleDirect is not obliged to honour any bookings where the flight has been delayed. We will however endeavour to provide the service requested at an updated time. This may result in an extra surcharge due to waiting time or another vehicle being dispatched.
Transfers and multiple pick-up or drop off points will have a surcharge of R200.00 per address.
Transfers which require a pick- up or drop off before 6.00am and after 20h30 will carry an additional surcharge of R100.00.
In the event that a guest fails to arrive or meet with our driver, the transfer will be deemed as a “no show“.
Whilst ShuttleDirect will make all reasonable efforts to adhere to pick-up or drop- off time schedules, no liability whatsoever can be accepted by ShuttleDirect for any loss or damage incurred by any passenger, or inconvenience experienced by any person due to the delay or cancellation of any service whatsoever.



ShuttleDirect will make every effort to keep to the current published timetable, but services may be affected by road, weather or other conditions beyond ShuttleDirect;'s control.  ShuttleDirect will therefore not accept liability for any costs incurred by passengers under such circumstances.
ShuttleDirect reserves the right to revise seat allocations without notice and to operate substitute vehicles of a different standard from those advertised.
Passengers are not permitted to travel on the vehicles between depots or other parking places and terminal points.
ShuttleDirect reserves the right to refuse the conveyance of, or continued conveyance of any passenger(s).
Fares are subject to change without prior notice.



You agree to indemnify, and hold Shuttle Direct Shuttle Services CC trading as ShuttleDirect, their contractors, services, product providers and all their respective owners, directors, officers, employees, representatives, proprietors, partners, shareholders, servants, principals, agents, predecessors, successors, assigns and attorney from and against any and all suits, actions, claims, proceedings, damages, settlements, judgments, injuries, liabilities, losses, risks, costs, and expenses (including without limitation attorney fees and litigation expenses) relating to and arising from the use of ShuttleDirect and the ShuttleDirect website, and any communication either verbally or in writing.
No agent, directors, officers, employees, representatives, proprietors, partners, shareholders, servants, principals, predecessors, successors, assigns and attorneys of ShuttleDirect has the power to amend or waive any of the conditions of this agreement.
Aspects of decisions and discretion are vested in the CEO of ShuttleDirect.

DOMESTIC ARRIVALS: We allow our driver 40 minutes waiting time from when the aircraft has landed.
INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS: We allow our driver 1 hour waiting time from when the aircraft has landed.
